Barcelona site Eleccions FCB claims that Barcelona presidential candidate Santiago Salvat is holding talks with several former Barcelona players about joining his candidacy. Hristo Stoichkov [picture] and Albert Ferrer would be two of the players with whom the candidacy is talking.Hristo Stoichkov (44) joined Barcelona in the summer of 1990, arriving from CSKA Sofia. Five years later, the Bulgarian striker moved to Italian club Parma but came back the next season. In 1998, he returned to CSKA Sofia. After his retirement, Stoichkov started a coaching career. In March of this year, he quit South-African club Mamelodi Sundowns
Albert Ferrer (39) came through the Barcelona youth ranks, joining the first team in 1990. The Catalan right back defender played eight years for Barcelona before leaving for English Premier League club Chelsea. Ferrer is currently a media pundit working for television, radio and print media.
